ABOUT
Indaculture is a rock and roll band based out of Rockaway Beach. They have been performing since 2000 in Rockaway Beach, NYC, and beyond. The band draws from many styles of music including reggae, funk, soul, roots, blues, and more. The band is synonymous with beach culture. They are famous for summer boardwalk performances as well as its part in Rockaway Mermaid Brigade's award winning parade floats. They are also the official house band of Connolly's Bar, where they perform three times a summer.
The band is part of an artistic scene in Rockaway Beach. They team up with local artists and other bands to help make Rockaway magical in the summers. The band has opened for acts in NYC including Rebirth Brass Band, The Bogmen, and Terry Reid. The band also performed in Ireland's legendary Le Cheile Arts & Music Festival, where they opened for Hot House Flowers. Members of the band are also famous for their performances in Rincon, Puerto Rico, and other surf destinations.
More than anything, the band fosters a fun environment where dancing, laughing, screaming, whiling, smiling, and imbibing is the rule of the land. The band often has a live visual artist, Geoff Rawling, paint onstage. They feature special guests, such as Kuff Daddy Dollars, and members of Rattrap Bumpkin. The true freaks of Rockaway come together every year to put on an epic outdoor Fourth of July performance that includes boom booms and the Star Spangled Banner. Pack a cooler and come by!
The band has one official self titled studio album, but has many unrecorded originals.
